Digicon Services is a consultancy and advisory company specialising in Financial Services, Strategic Advisory, Business Development, Digital Transformation and Technology. Established in 2021, the company builds on the extensive executive, Board and advisory experience of its founder, Damianos Charalampidis.

Damianos Charalampidis is an Independent Non-Executive Director and former Group COO/CDO, with more than 20 years of senior management and operational experience across banking, regulated financial services, payments, technology and telecommunications.

His experience combines Board governance and strategic oversight with hands-on executive leadership of large and complex organisations. He has extensive expertise in corporate governance, risk and audit oversight, digital transformation, technology and cybersecurity, fintech and payments, operational excellence, internal controls, M&A integration and business transformation.

During his executive career, he has led organisations of up to 4,500 employees across multiple international markets, with responsibility for major transformation programmes and businesses with P&L accountability exceeding €1 billion.

Damianos is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET). He holds an M.Sc. in Microprocessor Engineering & Digital Electronics from UMIST and a B.Eng. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University.

Executive Committee member, in charge of all Commercial and Technical activities of the company, an organization of more than 1600 employees in total with full P&L responsibility for € 0.8 billion.
Successfully turning around the business within 18 months increasing population coverage by 3%, brand preference by 54%, market share by 7% and customer base by 24%. As a result, the company (owned by private equity firms at the time) managed to attract potential buyers and sold to Weather-Orascom Group at a new value price increased by 14 times.
Leading the integrations of the 4th mobile player (Q-telecom) and a fixed line operator (Tellas).

Expand Cosmote in the Balkans by launching 3 subsidiaries/affiliates in Bulgaria (Globul), Albania (AMC) and Macedonia (Cosmofon).
Partner with NTT DoCoMo and launching i-mode® a mobile portal acquiring more than 200k subscribers.
